Zumba Gold for Brain Health

DATE/TIME - Every Wednesday in May from 11 am - 12 pm

RECURRING - Yes, Weekly

Zumba Gold is a variation on the popular dance exercise program, designed for older adults and good for both body and brain.

The popular Zumba workout, which puts a mix of high-and lower-intensity dance moves to Latin and World beats, has been modified in Zumba Gold to provide a less intensive, more joint-friendly dance workout for older adults - without sacrificing any of the fun.

This class, part of a series taught by Charlotte, NC, fitness instructor Elizabeth Moakler, will get you moving to the Zumba rhythms and explore the connection between dance and a healthy brain. In addition to delivering cardiovascular and muscle-strengthening benefits, regular aerobic exercise has been shown to contribute to brain health and aid memory and focus. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.

HOW TO JOIN/REGISTER - A separate registration is required for each class in this series. Sign in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register for events. AARP membership is not required. You will receive an email with the Zoom link before class.

Please log on 10 minutes early. Explore other free online Exercise & Wellness classes and check out AARP Local for events in your state.
